Professor Shin Jeong-geun and his team have published the final volume of the series of Art and Aesthetics of East Asia. The translation of the History of Chinese Aesthetics: From Ancient Times to the Ming-Qing Era, authored by Zhang Fa (張法), a former professor at Renmin University, completed the 6-volume series after a more than a decade of scholarly endeavor. The series was launched in 2013 with an eye to "review the classics of East Asia by adding a view of aesthetics and art to the philosophy centered study. This academic translation offers readers a holistic understanding of the aesthetic thought and discourse of East Asia, and further explores the macro-topics of East Asian art aesthetics and to find new perspectives.
