“RNA-based Precision Medicine (RPM)” is a newly established laboratory in the department of Integrative Biotechnology, Sungkyunkwan University. The overarching goal of our research team is to develop a better understanding of every aspects of cancer progression and therapeutics using next generation sequencing analysis and cancer biological approaches. We employ cancer cell biology, tools of genomics and Bioinformatics from pre-processed data set and invasive cancer tissue / cell lines. Importantly, we aim to apply all this knowledge at patient level by analyzing cell free mRNAs from patient plasma. All the projects are based on the collaboration with Several Hospitals domestically and Stanford university / The Ohio State university internationally. Our alumni are going to be expected to become an independent researcher working on a university, profit company as well as research laboratory. Our ultimate goal is to develop a better strategy to treat patient with cancers as a translational research in the basis of precision medicine.
