Network Analyzer

A network analyzer is an instrument that measures the network parameters of electrical networks . In our EMC lab., network analyzers commonly measure S–parameters (insertion loss, gain, return loss) because reflection and transmission of electrical networks are easy to measure at high frequencies, and we also can obtain other network parameter sets such as Y-parameters , Z-parameters , and ABCD-parameters from the network analyzer. The two-port and four-port Network analyzers are often used by us to characterize the transmission path and power distribution network (PDN) for chip-package-PCB system.
Probe Station

A mechanical probe station is used to physically acquire signals from the internal nodes of a semiconductor device. In our test, t he probe station utilizes manipulators which allow the precise positioning of thin probe tips on the surface of a miniature pin of a semiconductor device such as a QFN, QFP or FBGA package and pogo pins system. T he measured S-parameters are acquired by the mechanical probe and are displayed on a network analyzer connected.

Spectrum Analyzer

A spectrum analyzer measures the magnitude of an input signal versus frequency within the full frequency range of the instrument. The primary use is to measure the power of the spectrum of known and unknown signals. The spectrum analyzer is widely used in our EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility) estimation for checking the generated power and measuring the forwarded power.

Signal Generator

Signal generators also known variously as function generators , RF and microwave signal generators, pitch generators, arbitrary waveform generators , digital pattern generators or frequency generators are electronic devices that generate repeating or non-repeating electronic signals (in either the analog or digital domains). They are generally used in designing, testing, troubleshooting for the SI (signal integrity) in our research and generating the noise source in EMS test.

Vector Signal Generator applies modulation to a Radio Frequency (RF) signal to create specific modulated signals. It can support various forms of modulation, including digital modulation techniques such as QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), PSK (Phase Shift Keying), and FSK (Frequency Shift Keying). The modulated signals are used to test and evaluate how communication systems will operate in real-world environments.

Oscilloscope

Whether we are working with systems, subsystems, subassemblies, or discrete devices for the EMC estimation, each of our components adds noise that affects the overall performance of the receiver. Oscilloscope is used to measure the signal figure, and also check noise in the range of equipment.
