There are several full- and half-funded M.Sc. and Ph.D. positions at Seismic Design & Retrofit Lab of Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea. We are looking for prospective research assistants to work on new techniques and methods for seismic performance evaluation and retrofit of structures. The positions are merit-based and the chosen applicants will work with several colleagues under the supervision of Professor Jinkoo Kim.
Your profile:
• A recent Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in written and spoken English. An English certificate is an advantage
• Strong background in structural mechanics and analysis
• Knowledge about structural analysis codes, e.g. OpenSees and SAP2000, and programming is an advantage

• The chosen students will work on governmental research projects and large-scale experiments during the study and collaborate with industry.
