The Korean Philosophy Program of Sungkyunkwan University was first established as an undergraduate program in 1981, and a graduate program was also established in 1988. Since then, our program has not only provided education for undergraduate students, but has also fostered Korean philosophy experts. Based on its long history and tradition, we are now trying to leap into an education and research program that can participate in contemporary discourse and lead future values. In response to changes in intellectual demands in the modern world, we are going to find a way to respond to today's philosophical problems through Korean philosophy.
The Institute of Korean Philosophy and Culture (IKPC) is a research institute affiliated with the Korean Philosophy Program. IKPC is dedicated to advancing the appreciation of Korean philosophy by enhancing in-depth knowledge of the source of Korean philosophy and establishing the identity of Korean philosophy through comparative studies of East Asian and Western philosophy.
