Outcome: The talk delved into the cultural and psychological disparities between Eastern and Western traditions, focusing on theories of self-development. It also facilitated a discussion on ways to capture and understand the cultural characteristics of the East and West. The talk provided significant insights into how Cultural Psychology and Confucianism can collaborate in investigating the cultural phenomena and their foundations, fostering fruitful research endeavors. This approach is also relevant to the interdisciplinary studies being conducted with the psychology department at this research center, offering numerous implications.
