Outcome: Professor Chaehyun Chong gave a lecture on his 2019 book <Discriminative Love and Indiscriminate Love>. Professor Myeong-seok Kim and Professor Youngsun Back were designated discussants to deepen the understanding of the book. This lecture and discussion provided an opportunity to move away from evaluating Mohism solely from a Confucian perspective, to identify the issues and differences between Mohism and Confucianism, and to explore the contemporary significance of Mohist compassion.
