Title: Democracy of FraternityPossibilities and Challenges of Confucian Values of Harmony: Focusing on Righteous Harmony

 Aim & Outcome: The Sekyo Institute, which focuses on modern and contemporary Korean history, thought, and the progress of democratization, along with the Center for Contemporary Study of East Asian Classics and Critical Confucianism, which seeks ways for Confucian wisdom and traditional virtues to contribute to modern citizenship, plans to continue holding joint seminars to envision a better future for democracy. This seminar marked the first of such gatherings, fostering extensive discussions on the possibilities of alternative forms of democracy and the role of traditional thought, while also establishing a shared understanding of future research directions.
