Furthermore, he noted that while there are clear differences between the Confucian spirit in modern Korea and China, both countries should treat Confucianism—as a shared ideological resource of East Asia—as a subject of joint research. He proposed the establishment of a long-term framework for cooperation and support to facilitate such collaborative efforts.
