한국연구재단 지원 선도연구센터(SRC)인 『응용대수 및 최적화 연구센터(AORC)』는 응용대수 및 최적화를 주제로 상호 연관분야들 간의 크로스오버를 통한 새로운 수학적 모델의 구축, 신 이론의 개발 등을 목표로 7년간(2016.6.1.-2022.12.31.) 연구를 수행하게 됩니다. 연구는 세 개의 그룹 “조합적 구조 및 알고리듬”, “행렬해석과 최적화이론”, “알고리드믹 수론”으로 나눠 집단연구로 진행됩니다. 세계적 수준의 창의성과 탁월성을 보유한 국내외 우수한 인재를 모시고자 합니다.
1. 모집분야(최대 5명)
◦조합론(Combinatorics)
◦최적화(optimization)
◦과학계산(scientific computing)
◦수치선형대수(numerical linear algebra)
◦대수기하(algebraic geometry)
◦수학기반(미분기하,위상수학,편미분방정식 등) 빅 데이터 분석(big data analysis based on mathematics)
* 미분기하, 위상수학, 편미분 방정식 등의 지식을 데이터 분석에 적용하고 싶으신 분
2. 자격요건
◦연구교수: 박사학위 취득 후 2년 이상 모집분야 연구경력이 있는 자
◦Post-Doc: 박사학위 소지자 및 2021년 8월 박사학위 취득 예정자
3. 계약기간
◦최초 1년으로 하되 이후 2022녀 12월31일까지 연장 가능
◦2021년 9월 1일 임용예정(임용일 협의 가능)
4. 처우수준
◦연봉 4,200만원-5,000만원
(퇴직금포함/4대 보험지원, 연구실적에 따라 연구비 및 인센티브 지급가능)

Sungkyunkwan University “Applied Algebra and Optimization Research Center (AORC)” Post-Doc Recruitment
AORC is one of Science Research Centers (SRC) supported by National Research Foundation in Korea for seven years (2016.6.1.-2022.12.31.). Our center aims at the construction of new mathematical model and development of new theory through crossover among the areas related to applied algebras and optimizations. The center consists of three research groups: “Combinatorial Structures and Algorithms”, “Matrix Analysis and Optimization Theory”, and “Algorithmic Number Theory”. The research will be proceeded in each group and by crossover among the groups. We would like to select people with creativity and excellence.

2. Position and Qualification
-Research professor: research experiences in the areas of recruitment for more than two years after PhD
-Post-Doc: PhD or persons who get PhD degree prior to the end Oct., 2021
3. Period of contract
-one year with the possibility of renewal once until December, 2022
-The expected starting date is Sep. 1st, 2021(flexible).
4. Annual salary, compensation, and benefits
-KRW 42,000,000-50,000,000
-The salary includes severance pay and 4 major insurances support. Research fund and incentive are available depending on research activities.
5. Documents to submit
-curriculum vitae which shows the record of education, career, list of publications (including preprints)
-two letters of recommendation: one from the supervisor of doctoral thesis and the other from expertise in the area. The letters should be directly sent via email to hgseol@skku.edu by recommenders.
-research statement: explicit description of research overview, purpose and contents, method of research plan, etc (within 10 pages)
-copies of representative papers including accepted papers: three for research professor, two for post-doc
6. Submission information
-deadline: pm 6:00 on July 30, 2021
-how to submit: convert all documents to pdf files and then send them to hgseol@skku.edu via email
-We will give an individual notification of interview date for the applicants who will have interview.
-Mobile phone number and e-mail address should be specified in CV.
7. Other things
-When the items mentioned and submitted documents are false, the appointment will be canceled.
-Doctoral thesis, copies of papers in the publication list, certificate of doctoral degree (or expected doctoral degree), and transcripts for undergraduate and graduate are required to submit only for the applicants who will have interview.
-If there is no eligible candidate, the selection may not be made, and recruitment can be possible afterward.
