2017 WORKING WORKSHOP on
MATRIX/OPERATOR THEORY AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
May 22 - June 2, 2017.
"Applied Algebra and Optimization Research Center (AORC)", Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea.
The purpose of the workshop is provide an platform for researchers interested in matrix theory, operator theory, and their applications to work intensely on some research problems. Hopefully, the workshop will lead to some solutions of open problems, and development of new research techniques.
Conduct two sessions everyday. Morning session 9:30 - noon, afternoon session 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.
In the first week (May 22-26). We focus on
Presentations of problems and background.
* Presentation should be informal.
* Problems should be specific.
Of course, we can immediately try different techniques and talk about related problems in each sessions.
Each day, one people will take the lead of the discussion.
For example, one people can use May 22 to present different problems and background he or she is interested
in, and try different methods with the participants to study them.
Also, we can have some open session for participants to introduce their problems.
In the second week (May 29-June2)
We focus on Working on specific problems mentioned in the first week.
Depending on the audience and the presenters of the problems.
We can arrange different groups or all in one group to work on those problems. T
he whole group can get together some time to describe the progress.
* The Sightseeing for participants is scheduled on May 27.
